FALCONER posten Update!
Stefan Weinerhall, Gitarrist der schwedischen Folk Metaller FALCONER, hat folgendes Update gepostet:

"The Falconer is awake from slumber. After the darkest year yet I am once again in writing mood, and what a mood! I guess somethig good really can come out of something bad after all. After rebooting musically from a year of creative vacuum there is a fresh hunger and optimism.

The 6 songs completed so far are harder and faster and with more of an attitude again, some of the songs sound like taken from the first album. After reading a book about desiphering and reading the language of runestones I really got some lyrical inspiration too!

I must say that it hasn't been this rewarding and promising for many years to write for a new album, without being carried away too far.The future plan is to concentrate on writing, re-writing and rehearsing for the new album, being sure it is as good as it can and not re-using too many patterns. All songs will be in english this time.

We are just to begin rehearsing once again after a 2 year break and I can't wait to put Mathias through some tests and find out the speed limit of Karsten.

MEMORY GARDEN schließen Albumaufnahmen ab und geben Plattentitel bekannt!
Die schwedischen Epic Doom Metaller von MEMORY GARDEN haben die Arbeiten an ihrem fünften Album Doomain abgeschlossen!

Doomain wurde in der Annoying Sound Factory sowie den SolnaSound Recording Studios von der Band selbst mit ein bisschen Hilfe von Mike Wead (KING DIAMOND) bei den Leadgitarren aufgenommen. Für den Mix sorgte Dan Swanö in seinem Unisound.

Die Band über den Aufnahmeprozess: "The recording of Doomain must be the most relaxed album session we've ever done. We recorded most of the album ourselves in our own studio and took the time we wanted and needed to get it done. Dan Swanö helped us getting the rig together and he provided us with the tools to do it and from there we did it ourselves. The lead guitar sessions were done at SolnaSound Recording by Simon & Mike Wead. When it all was done it was sent to Dan Swanö and Unisound for mix and mastering. The final album is amazing and we are so thrilled to get it out to all of you"

Über den Titel der Scheibe: "We wanted a short and effective title to this album. It's a little game of words referring to the style of music we play "Doom metal" and the actual word Domain. We see this album as a statement of what Memory Garden stands for music wise and this album is certainly down our alley, it's in our Doomain."

Doomain erscheint in Europa am 12./15. April als Digipack und LP auf Metal Blade Records!

MEMORY GARDEN haben kürzlich einen Deal bei Metal Blade unterschrieben.

MEMORY GARDEN wurden 1992 in Schweden gegründet und haben seitdem vier Alben veröffentlicht. Zwei erschienen auf Metal Blade (Verdict Of Posterity im Jahre 1998 und Mirage im Jahre 2000).

Exzellente Gitarrenharmonien und klassische Clean Vocals von Stefan Berglund sind die herausstechenden Merkmale dieses äußerst talentierten Band.

Über RAVEN BLACK NIGHT:
Ende 1999 trafen sich Jim Petkoff, The White Knight [guitar/vox] und Rino Amoriono, The Raven [guitar], in Adelaide auf ein kaltes Bier, in der Stadt der Kirchen, wo Bon Scott einst AC/DC beitrat. Dies war der Anfang von RAVEN BLACK NIGHTs weltweitem Feldzug für den traditionellen Metalsound!

Nach der Entscheidung, eine Doom/Heavy Metal-Band zu gründen, fanden sie Matt Spencer, The Black Knight [bass] und Jeremy, The Godfather an den Drums als weitere Mitstreiter. Sie erarbeiteten sich in der Folgezeit einen formidablen Ruf als Liveband, ihr Stil sprach viele Metalheads der lokalen Szene an. Ihre Bühne schmückten RAVEN BLACK NIGHT stets mit Schwertern, Schilden und Kerzen und zogen so zwischen 2003 und 2006 kreuz und quer durch Australien. Dabei traten sie auf zahlreichen Festivals und Clubshows auf. An den Drums fand ein Wechsel zu Joe Toscano statt und im Jahre 2005 wurde das Debütalbum Choose The Dark veröffentlicht.

Choose The Dark heimste viel Lob in Australien und Europa ein. Ein Song wurde sogar auf den Sampler des deutschen Heavy Magazines für Bands ohne Vertrag gepackt, was 2007 zu einer Einladung zum 10. Headbangers Open Air führte. Dort traten sie neben Candlemass, Rage und vielen anderen auf.

Weitere Jahre des Tourens und der Festivalauftritte folgten, ehe sie 2011 Matt Enright als Produzenten für ihr langerwartetes zweites Album bestimmten.

Die RAVEN BLACK NIGHT-Hauptprotagonisten Jim und Rino sind bereit, den True Metal/Doom ihrer Band einem weltweiten Publikum zu präsentieren. Durch die neue Partnerschaft mit Metal Blade Records und ihr neues Album, welches jetzt veröffentlicht wird, sollte es für RAVEN BLACK NIGHT ein Leichtes sein, sich nachhaltig auf der Landkarte des Heavy Metals zu platzieren!
